Acoustic panels for humid or wet conditions

soniflex offers acoustic panels that are suitable for use in humid conditions.

For example soni RESIST, a very robust polyethylene (PE) foam with a closed cell structure, whose low water retention coefficient makes it especially suitable for application where it may come into contact with humid air or water.

In addition, the material meets the requirements for building material class B1 (flame retardant acc. to DIN 4102). Hence it is an excellent solution for noise control in public buildings.

What is more, these acoustic panels do not provide a substrate for the growth of micro-organisms and can thus be used also in hygiene-sensitive areas, including stables, aviaries, cages or other animal shelters. The panels are stain-resistant and easy to clean.

soni RESIST
Color: white | Rear face: not self-adhesive (nk) | Thickness: 25 mm
Ordering acoustic panels from soniflex Our soni RESIST noise protection panel consists of closed-cell polyethylene foam with both sound-insulating and sound-absorbing properties. Its closed-cell structure makes soni RESIST especially suitable for applications where it may come into contact with moisture or humidity. The extremely robust and impact-resistant sound-insulation material does not constitute a medium for microorganism growth and can be wet-cleaned if necessary. soni RESIST is flame-retardant according to DIN 4102, as proven under B1 test conditions. Therefore the product is an excellent noise-control solution wherever you need to reduce the sound level with materials that meet strict fire safety regulations. The use of soni RESIST The optional self-adhesive rear face facilitates the installation of the panels. When mounted overhead or on uneven surfaces, (additional) mechanical fixation is required.

soni RESIST UV
Effective noise protection in outdoor areas: Order UV-stable acoustic panels from soniflex Noise can become a problem not only indoors, but may also cause considerable discomfort in outdoor areas. Whether noise from traffic, construction sites or lively neighbors – soundproofing solutions for outdoor use are an essential tool for creating a quiet environment and improving your quality of life. Noise barrier walls and noise protection fences made of soni RESIST UV are an effective and durable solution for this purpose. soni RESIST UV is a hard-wearing and acoustically effective closed-cell PE foam treated with special UV stabilization for outdoor applications. The soni RESIST UV soundproofing panel is available in black and has excellent weather and UV resistance. Hence this product can be exposed to sunlight without concern and is ideal for use as a noise barrier to neighboring properties. The advantages of soni RESIST UV: - Extremely low water absorption - High stability and structural strength - Stain-resistant and easy to clean - Good weather and UV resistance - No medium for micro-organism growth - Tested according to DIN 4102, B2 Instructions/recommended implementation: For effective sound absorption, the material should be applied on the side of the sound source and not be covered with dense material so that the sound waves can enter the acoustic panel and be absorbed. We recommend covering the joints between the panels with suitable material (e.g. fence slats, aluminum strips) to prevent gaps. After installation, the surface can be planted with greenery (e.g. ivy) or covered with fence fabric. Such an air- and sound-permeable camouflage will only slightly reduce the sound absorption effect. For pictures of real-life applications and customer testimonials click here.

Installation

On request, nearly all our products can be delivered with self-adhesive rear faces, enabling easy, clean and time-saving installation – perfect for retrofit applications in rooms that are already in use.

Noise control

Thanks to their open-cell structure, our noise protection materials absorb sound waves and effectively attenuate bothering noise. A satisfactory result can already be achieved by lining 30 to 50 % of the ceiling and wall surfaces.

Fire protection

Many of our noise-control products are classified as flame-retardant according to DIN 4102 or DIN EN 13501. Please contact your local authorities in advance for information about the required fire protection class.
