Sound absorber
To reduce sound levels, we recommend that our customers install sound absorbers on the ceiling or in the upper wall area. Depending on the requirements for appearance or stability, various products can be considered as sound absorbers.
For good room acoustics and a reduction in reverberation, partial cladding is usually sufficient. Approximately 30 - 50 % of the floor area of a room is recommended for this purpose, depending on the room height and the initial sound level. This measure significantly reduces the reverberation time and thus the sound level. This increases speech intelligibility, which makes a room much more pleasant for people.

How do sound absorbers work?
Sound absorbers are elements that "swallow" or absorb sound. In the process, the sound energy is
converted into other forms of energy, such as heat or vibration energy.
The sound absorbers have a porous structure. This creates a flow resistance. This creates friction, which converts the
penetrating sound energy into heat. This process is called absorption.
The sum of kinetic and potential energy now results in the available sound energy. The kinetic energy is strongest at the
maximum sound velocity, so the sound absorbers should best be placed here. In this way, the absorbers develop the highest effect and ensure an effective reduction of the sound level in various rooms.
Especially open-cell acoustic foams or closed-cell foams with a special cell structure or even fibers of non-woven materials
serve as efficient sound absorbers.
The sound absorption capacity of some materials is optimized by a special surface treatment, such as structure,
embossing or lamination.
By installing ceiling or wall absorbers in a room, the sound reflection is reduced, the reverberation time is shortened and the audibility of the room is improved.
However, sound absorbers are also used in the technical field, e.g. in a soundproof enclosure.
Wide variety of sound absorbers
For improving the room acoustics in indoor spaces, soniflex offers a wide range of different noise-control products. The sound absorbers are available in various trendy colors and shapes so that they can be perfectly matched to any interior design. From ceiling inserts to wall absorbers, from room dividers to seating cubes - soniflex offers you a wide range of functional and attractive products.
While for loud machine, enclosures are often the most suitable sound-insulation measure, acoustic posters that absorb the sound waves can provide effective noise-control in indoor spaces such as waiting areas, offices or living rooms. Our high-quality acoustic posters, soni PICTURE, look just like canvas prints, but they are much more: The acoustic absorber inserted behind the printed surface effectively improves the acoustics in the room.
We offer also many other absorbers for wall and ceiling that help optimize the acoustic conditions. There are no limits to your creativity: With our colored grid ceiling inserts, you can create beautiful patterns on the ceiling. And with soniflex wall absorbers in the shape of circles, squares, diamonds and animals in different thicknesses and sizes, every wall becomes an eye-catcher.
We offer our customers the following sound absorbers:
Basotect / melamine foam sound absorbers
Basotect is the trade name for melamine foam. Sound absorbers made of this material are used in rooms where the sound level is to be reduced, the acoustics are to be improved and fire protection regulations are to be complied with. Especially in daycare centers, the office, school or call center, stairwells and living rooms, the material is highly
recommended. In addition, thermal insulation can be achieved.
Sound absorbers made of polyester fleece
Sound absorbers made of this material are used especially in large offices, entrance halls or the waiting areas of medical
practices.
Polyurethane sound absorbers
With this acoustic foam, you sustainably reduce sound and reverberation in small and, above all, large rooms.
Colored acoustic panels
Bring color into the rooms and significantly improve the acoustics in your rooms with these products. With modern acoustic pictures you also provide real highlights.
Inserts for grid ceilings
At soniflex, we offer you a large selection of different inlays for grid ceilings, which can be ideally used as acoustic
elements for sound absorption. You can even get them in different colors.
Flame retardant
Fire protection should also never be forgotten when it comes to soundproofing. Our products are not only ideal for the acoustics in rooms and ensure that loud noise will soon be a thing of the past. The different solutions are also convincing when it comes to fire protection.
