Our soni EVA heavy layer is suitable specifically for technical applications, vehicles and machinery. It is designed to eliminate vibrations and drumming of sheet metal and metal parts. Applied to a metal structure, soni EVA will effectively reduce the sound level and prevent the transmission of noise and vibration. For soni EVA, the optional self-adhesive equipment of the rear face serves primarily as an installation aid. Make your pool pump quieter - with sound insulation from soniflex

A pool pump can quickly become a source of noise - with a sound pressure of over 90 dB, it is often louder than expected. But for maximum relaxation by the pool, the noise level should be as low as possible. So what can be done?

The solution: a soundproof enclosure for your pool pump! With the right materials and a well thought-out design, the noise can be significantly reduced - a noticeable difference that ensures more peace and quiet. We will show you how to build your own pool pump enclosure with the right soundproofing materials from soniflex.

Step 1: Plan the enclosure
To achieve this improvement, we recommend a closed enclosure with a minimum distance of 30 cm from the pump. Important: The compressor must be decoupled from the ground to prevent structure-borne noise transmission.

Step 2: Choose the right building material
Sheet steel (from 1.5 mm) or chipboard (from 19 mm) are suitable for the construction. Chipboard offers almost the same sound insulation as sheet steel, but is easier to work with.

Tip: Make sure that the enclosure is closed all round - every opening reduces the sound insulation considerably. If ventilation openings are required, we recommend a silencer section that is lined on the inside with sound insulation material and deflected at least once.

Step 3: The right inner lining for maximum sound insulation
For the enclosure to be really effective, the right inner lining is essential. Various sound insulation products from soniflex are available here:

One of our customers was kind enough to send us photos of the enclosure for his pool pump in the garden.

Our pool pump was too loud for us. We built a sturdy wooden box with enough space for the pump to keep it well ventilated.

Our pool pump is finally quieter - thanks to the soni RESIST Box!

‘We love our pool - but the pool pump was just too loud! The constant humming and buzzing was particularly annoying on relaxing days in the garden. After some research, we came across the soni RESIST Box, a specially developed sound insulation box for outdoor technical equipment.
